Obituary of Mary AKA Maria Gill Gill

Mary G. Gill, 86 years of South Westerlo, NY passed away on Dec. 17, 2010 in Hospice Inn at St. Peter's in Albany, NY. She was born in Fredonia, NY on July 18, 1924, daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinetta (Spina) Argento. She graduated from the Brooklyn School for Girls. Mary a lifelong Homemaker, was devoted to her home and family. She was an avid reader and bridge player. A communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, she served as a Lector, a member of the choir and a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She was also a member of the Greenville American Legion Auxiliary Unit # 291. Mary will be known as an independent thinker with an intellectual curiosity. She was beloved by her family, church family and many friends. Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers. Surviving is her husband of 65 years, Joseph W. Gill, her children, Glenn Gill, Geraldine Morel (John), Joseph P. Gill, Peter L. Gill (Noreen) and Paul E. Gill, her grandchildren, Amanda, Ariel, Christopher, Jonathan, Joshua, Justin, Leon, Rachel and one great grandchild, Cyrus and several nieces and nephews. Services will be Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, 11:30 am from the Cunningham Funeral Home, Greenville, NY with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 PM at St. John the Baptist Church. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday prior to the Mass from 10 am to 11:30am. Interment will be in the Greenville Cemetery.
