Obituary of Fred Ward

Fred Ward, (80) of Westerlo, NY passed away at his home on Dec. 14, 2010, having lost his battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on Feb. 16, 1930, son of the late Lewis and Hattie (Robbin) Ward. Fred served in the NYS National Guard. He and his twin brother George operated Ward Construction doing roofing and siding for many years in the Clarksville & Westerlo area. He was also a School Bus Driver for the Bethlehem School District& a former member of the Clarksville Volunteer Fire Co. Fred loved to hunt and fish & spending winters in Florida. Besides his parents, Fred was predeceased by his brother, Edwin Ward. Surviving is his beloved wife of 60 years, Elsie (Hatcher) Ward of Westerlo, NY, his twin brother, George Ward (Geraldine) and nieces and nephews, Tammy Frodyma (Mark), Scott Benway (Lisa), George Ward (Darlene), Sharon Seney (Paul), Sheila Tryon (Mark) and Geoffrey Ward. As to his wishes Fred was cremated and interment will be in the Spring in the Onesquethaw Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Hospice and the many friends who helped in the family's time of need.
