Obituary of Katherine J. Schryver

WESTERLO – Katherine J. "Kit" Schryver, 61, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Sunday January 8, 2017. She was born on August 6, 1955 in Albany to the late Charles and Sadie Skalski Rzany. She was raised in Voorheesville before spending the majority of her life in Westerlo. She married William H. Schryver III on July 29, 1977. She worked as a Teacher's Aid at Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School for 30 years, having just retired at the end of June 2016. Kit enjoyed gardening, cooking, and camping. She liked flowers of all types and absolutely loved dogs. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Carol Dickson in May 2016. Kit is survived by her husband, Bill; her children, William H. Schryver, IV of Grand Gorge, Christine Theresa Schryver of Bend, OR, and Cheryl Lynn Schryver of Seattle, WA; her siblings, Dorothy Deleskiewicz and Steve Rzany both of Voorheesville; her many niece and nephews; and her beloved grand dogs, Molly and Emily. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
