Obituary of Collin "Kayla" Christie Stetkewicz

FREEHOLD – Collin “Kayla” Christie Stetkewicz, 14, passed away suddenly Saturday, June 11, 2016 at her residence. Born in Syracuse on January 30, 2002, she is the daughter of Ronald J. and Sarah C. Goodell Stetkewicz. Collin “Kayla” was raised in Greenville, graduating from Scott M. Ellis Elementary School, and was presently in eighth grade at Greenville Middle School. As a young girl, Kayla was a ballerina, and was a Girl Scout. She also played trumpet, was a member of the Youth Group at the United Methodist Church of Greenville & Norton Hill, and studied Tae Kwon Do. Kayla enjoyed writing and drawing, and was always a social butterfly, having many friends. Collin is survived by his loving parents, Ron and Sarah Stetkewicz; his younger brother, Ronald J. “Ronnie” Stetkewicz; his grandparents, Dean and Fiona Goodell; Uncle Seth and Aunt Jessica Goodell with Armando, Diego and Gianna; Uncle John Stetkewicz with Douglas, Samantha, Alison and Amy; Aunt Janis Stetkewicz with Jake; Uncle Joe Cure with Olivia. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Greenville & Norton Hill, 5830 State Route 81, Greenville, followed by burial in Freehold Cemetery.
