Obituary of Carol A. Fahey

HALFMOON – Carol A. Fahey, 73, passed away suddenly at her residence on Sunday, February 7, 2016. She was born in Albany on May 5, 1942, a daughter of the late John and Hope Scheely. She attended Albany High School and graduated in 1960. Carol resided in Greenville for more than 30 years with her late husband Kenneth Fahey where they raised a family and she worked as an agent with Sail Away Cruise Agency. She also lived in Greensboro, NC for several years where she ran a consignment shop with her sister Joyce and later moved to Halfmoon, where she spent the remainder of her years. Carol was a loving spouse to her late husband and caregiver to her son Michael for many years. She was also known as a sassy lady who enjoyed late-night phone calls with family and friends, gardening, and collecting. She will be greatly missed. Carol was predeceased by her beloved husband, Kenneth Fahey, and sons John and Michael. Carol is survived by nine grandchildren, Brennan, Kyle and Quinn Ryan, Riely and Teller Wood, Sophia Perez, Josh, Justin and Katie Knowles; four great-grandchildren, Aubrie Parrella, Martin Knowles, Aaliyah Sheldon, and Justice Knowles; dear friends, Cheryl of 50 years, Nancy, Pat, and neighbors at Marina Woods.
