Obituary of Lorraine M. Loucks

GREENVILLE - Lorraine M. Loucks, 89, passed away on Tuesday November 3, 2015 at Good Samaritan Lutheran Health Care Center. She was born on August 24, 1926 in Orwell, VT to the late Clarence and Anna Hallenbeck Miller. She was raised in Vermont and New York. Lorraine worked with her late husband, Earl, running Star Poultry Farm for 46 years in South Bethlehem, retiring in 1988. She was a member for over 65 years at the Hiawatha Grange and also a member of the Albany County Pomona Grange, the New York State Grange and the National Grange. She was a NYS Junior Grange Superintendent and started the NYS Junior Grange Camping Program in the 1960's. Lorraine was a member of the Dormansville United Methodist Church. She was a phenomenal cook and baker and she loved gardening. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her sister Polly England. Lorraine is survived by her children, Loretta Loucks Stevenson, Lawrence M. Loucks and daughter-in-law Katherine C. Loucks; her granddaughter, Hope Mojica; her great-grandson, Mason Mojica; her niece, Patty England Ross; and other nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be on Sunday November 8, 2015 from 4 to 7pm at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 48989 State Route 81, Greenville, NY 12083. A funeral service will held on Monday November 9th at 10am at the Dormansville United Methodist Church, 21 County Route 312, Dormansville, NY 12055, followed by burial in Chestnut Lawn Cemetery in New Baltimore.
