Obituary of James J. Lomanto

GREENVILLE - James J. Lomanto passed away suddenly at home on Sunday night, April 6, 2014. Jim was born on December 29th 1960 in Brooklyn to his parents Anthony and Rose Lomanto. After graduating from Bishop Ford High School, he became active in the construction field. Jim met and married his wife Judy Clow Lomanto soon after. She predeceased him in 2006. Among other jobs, Jim found his true work being a locksmith and putting on comedy shows as owner of “On the Road with Jumbo’s Comedy Club”. Jim moved to Greenville with his wife and son, Anthony, to have a place to put down roots. For many years he was an active member of both the rescue squad and volunteer fire fighters of Greenville. Jim is survived by his son, Anthony; his sister, Rosemary Hangiaras; his brother, Donald Lomanto; his girlfriend Jennifer Barrett; as well as many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Wednesday April 9th from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Homes, Inc., 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday April 10th at 10am at St. John the Baptist Church, 4987 State Route 81, Greenville, followed by burial in Greenville Cemetery.
