Obituary of Constance Mae Teator

DELMAR - Constance Mae Teator, 84, long-time resident of Freehold, passed away at Albany Medical Center on Friday, March 28, 2014. She had spent the past four years at Good Samaritan, Delmar. She was born on May 23, 1929 in West Orange, NJ, the oldest of four children of the late Ninian and Ruth (Williams) Murray. She married her late husband, Donald O. Teator, in 1951, moving in 1953 to Freehold where she helped maintain the family home for 57 years. The loves of her life were few and simple. She loved her farm house which her grandfather gave her as a gift; her faith, and church family at the First Baptist Church of Westerlo of which she was a member for the past 26+ years; her family; helping others, fifteen years as a volunteer for the Greene County Senior Service Program; and, finally, her new friends at Good Samaritan. Connie is survived by her four children: Donald B. (Debra), Ronald (Leona), David (Connie), and Phyllis (Cliff) Richardson; five grandchildren: Nathaniel Teator, Brett Teator, Tiffany Nishefci; Jared Richardson, and Rebekah Richardson; and a sister: Grace Winans. Besides her parents and husband, Connie was predeceased by a brother, Bruce, and a sister, Margaret. Calling hours will be held Wednesday April 2nd from 4 to 8pm at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. A memorial service will be held Friday April 4th at 11 am at the First Baptist Church of Westerlo, 618 State Route 143, Westerlo. Burial will be later in the spring in Freehold Cemetery.
