Obituary of Edna Louise Mickelsen

Greenville Center – Edna Louise Mickelsen (55) of Greenville Center passed away at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany on Feb. 21, 2014 after a brief illness. She was born in Catskill on June 15, 1958 daughter of the late A. Grant & Eunice (Ekstrom) Mickelsen. Always working, she was presently employed at the Greenville Laundromat and working in the Deli Dept. at Walmart in Catskill. She enjoyed crafting; especially embroidering, knitting and cross-stitch. She loved sharing many pieces with her family for their enjoyment. Edna will be remembered by family and friends for the loving care she extended to her father during his last illness. Her friends will also remember her for always being at the Greenville Gazebo with the Rebound Boys. She was a friend to all she met and will be missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her brother G. Mike Mickelsen, two sisters, Christine Mickelsen & Denise Mickelsen-Jones, nieces Sarah & Laura Mickelsen, Rene and Tim Roberts, Meaghan & Courtney Jones, great nieces & nephew Kayla, Samantha, Haelee, Julia & Dylan. A memorial service will be held on Sat. March 1, 2014 3pm at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR81, Greenville, NY.
